2 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows a Double & Single from common gripping scenarios: [I] Starting from the Hand-Fight, if your opponent looks to grab your collar, block his access with your forearm and snag the cross sleeve for a 2on1 Control Arm Drag. When throwing the opponent's arm to unbalance his posture, it is important not to utilize your own body movement to generate the force; your body needs to be ready to drive forward with your shot the moment you release the 2on1. [II] If your opponent makes a strong enough grip on your sleeve, enough to thwart the initial movement of your drag, make a Pistol Grip instead to break his hold and form the 2on1 to Pull Guard. After you sit down on the mat, when your opponent pulls back, use his momentum to help you tackle up onto his leg for a Single Leg Takedown.
