Marcelo offers advice to Orlando about how to follow-up with a countered Leg-Drag Pass: After crossing your opponent's leg over and hunkering yourself down into a Leg-Drag, they may have the opportunity to counter your attack by pummeling their free leg back inside to recover back their guard. There are many methods of addressing this common defense, but ultimately there is a need to finish the pass by shifting across your opponent's chest and establishing a solid top-side control. Don't let your opponent reset with sticky Butterfly-Hooks after you've bound their knees together. Whether you connect the Leg-Drag with a Folding-Pass or a Duck-Under, you will need to find a way to move up and grab onto their head with a Cross-Face. If one possesses a longer reach relative to their opponent, they may find it easy to simultaneously cradle the opponent's leg and head together to finish the pass.
