1Leg X Guard to X Guard
Marcelo & Joel discuss nuances between Single-Leg X and the transition into X-Guard: The order of operations for whether to affix one's legs around their opponent's far keg with X-Hooks before or after pummeling the near-leg with an Under-Hook can be tricky, especially given a savvy or heavier opposition. Joel notices that if he waits to set his X-Hooks and pummels for an Under-Hook while still holding his legs in position for the Single-Leg X, his opponent doesn't have an opportunity to read his intentions and high-step out of the attack. Dedicate both hands as best as one can into controlling the near-leg so as to not allow your opponent the room to kick themselves out of your hold.
