2 Part Technique - Escaping the Back and Seatbelt Control on each side. The most favorable position to escape by putting your shoulders on the mat is the non choking arm side. However, if the opponent is able to get you on the arm choking side, breaking the Seatbelt Control first before pressing your shoulders to the mat to escape is the most preferred method. So, now you are probably behind on points, so move quickly to a Hook Sweep to change the momentum of the match to your favor.

Very nice, can't wait to drill this at the gym.  The hook sweep in particular, as I end up in that position a lot.

Concepts have already been very useful in terms of better understanding how to approach escaping the subtle variations of this dominant position, but also in controlling my opponent and maintaining critical details in my favor. Thanks Again!
