2 Part Technique - Do not fall onto your back if your opponent lifts your feet up off the mat; If he or she is quick, you will be defending against a pass off your back shortly after. Instead, remain upright, circle your ankles out of his grips, and get back to the hand-fight. When he dips low to grab your feet again, intercept his wrists first and begin your own attack from his arm. While you free your feet, he may get a step ahead and grip your collar. Quickly, grab onto his wrist to yank it off and form 2on1 Control. Once made, the 2on1 is a sure-fire way to hit a Tripod Sweep from Open Guard, or enter under his base even deeper for 1-Leg X.
