North South Collar Choke, Near Side Armbar from Knee on Belly
2 Part Technique - Knee on Belly is a great position to score and expose the opponent for submissions during his escape. After loosening the collar and securing the choking grips, transition to North South because you will no longer have your hands for posting to secure Knee on Belly. As with every technique, you must be ready to counter when the opponent defends. The Near Side Armbar is effective in this situation, because often the opponent will post his hand to block your North South transition while holding his collar. Control his elbow, slide your knee inside, and swinging your leg over his face for the finish.
