2 Part Technique - In the instance that you find your back taken with full hooks from the standing position, reach up to defend your neck and roll to the mat on your open shoulder, making sure to land on the side opposite of your opponent's choking arm. Before your opponent has a chance to choke or transfer the position into one in his favor, immediately look to put your head, followed by your shoulders to the mat to free your self from his back control. If you happen to land onto the side of his choking arm after the roll, use your bottom foot to post and turn your body back to the ideal escaping side. While you transition to the proper side, you release his bottom hook, exposing your arm for the Arm Trap with his hook. Try to avoid this, but in the event that it is captured, escape your arm by quickly grabbing hold of your trapt wrist with your free hand and yanking it passed his heel. Continue defending the choke and escape your shoulders to the mat.
