3 Part Technique - Determine whether or not your opponent is trying to escape from your Seatbelt, or content just defending his neck. If the latter, choose to lay him on the side of your 1on1 wrist control and use your choking hand to trap his arm underneath your top hook. If he's pulling down on your arm, cease resisting and let him snap his arm right into the Trap. If he tries to duck out to avoid the Rear Naked, catch hold of his head and arm for the Reverse Triangle Choke from Back.

I think the general rule is that falling to the choke side makes it easier to hold the position, but sometimes harder to get the choke, whereas falling to the underhook side makes it slightly easier for him to escape, but also easier for you to get the choke. Hence Marcelo saying that he will fall to that side if the opponent is not actively trying to get out. At least that is my take on it, and I've heard others (Popovitch) say the same thing.

Oh, and more instructionals on the reverse triangle, please! :)

HI,
When doing the "mata leon" or rear naked choke it was always emphasized to use the arm close to the mat or floor go around the neck and with the same hand hold the other arm's biceps to complete the choke, but in the video Marcelo do it the reverse way. It really doesn't matter the possition of the arms?
Thanks,
Michel.
