2 Part Technique - Play where your opponent is not comfortable; this translates to breaking his preferred grips, and keeping outside of his chosen guard game. For example, if he employs the De-La-Riva Guard against you, remove his grip on your heel to kneel onto his DLR Hook, and break off his collar grip to make him uncomfortable. He may now opt to shove you backward off of his guard; when this happens, catch grips on his pants and throw his legs off to the side for the Folding Pass. If he tries to underhook your heel and possibly invert for the Berimbolo, stomp on his grip with your trailing foot and continue on with your pass unhindered.
