Sprawl vs Deep Half Entry, Over Under Pass vs Half Guard, Leg Over Pass vs Deep Half Guard
2 Part Technique - Whoever wins the underhook will dominate the Half Guard position. Granted, if neither you nor your opponent has it yet, he may opt to go for Deep Half Guard. When this happens, crossface his head, sprawl back your leg, and block his underhook. Once you've successfully halted his transition, pummel for your own underhook and execute the Over Under Pass against his Half Guard. If he happens to go too deep to sprawl back your leg, hold onto his tricep and switch your base, dropping your trapt knee to the mat as you swing your leg over his face for the Leg Over Pass. Work your leg free while maintaining upper body control to establish Side Control and score.
