3 Part Technique - Sometimes when you are in on a Double, you have to make an assessment as to whether or not you have enough control to continue driving and finish the takedown or bail and protect against chokes from the Front Headlock Position. If your call is that of the latter, don't make the costly mistake of forgetting to hide the space of your armpits from an Arm Triangle, whether it be the Anaconda or D'arce Choke. Prevent the submissions by pinching your elbows tightly to your chest and protect your neck from the finishing pressure. If he realizes his Arm Triangle has been successfully defended and opts to switch for a different control, take advantage of the opening to Granby Roll out from underneath the Front Headlock. While defending the choke, do your best to keep his elbows outside as you pinch.
