Marcelo helps Chris with a problem he has from 1Leg X-Guard. If your opponent his hugging your head and smashing you, break his grip and push him back with your foot on his hip. Then, if you need, scoop his leg up onto your shoulder for the X-Guard Takedown Sweep from X-Guard or Partial X. The order in which you switch for full X-Guard matters; set your hooks first, and then scoop his leg onto your shoulder. Also, on finishing the sweep, don't kick him away so far that you cannot heavily establish on top with a stable control.
