Lapel Control Arm Trap from Side Control → Knee on Belly → Near Side Armbar from Knee on Belly Position
2 Part Lesson — Marcelo guides Paul & Mansher through advanced technique to get to and submit from the Knee-On-Belly Position: [I] If your opponent is concentrating his efforts into defense, fortify your advance by wrapping up his far arm with his own lapel, securing his arm from later interference. Next, grab the fabric of his pants as you hold his belt, placing your elbow across his waistline. Simultaneously, pop both knees up off the mat into the Knee-On-Belly Position, wherein your weight is focused down into the opponent's center. Collect your points, and hop back down to re-secure the Side Control. [II] If your opponent tries to bump you off of Knee-On-Belly by gripping your far pant-leg, cup behind his elbow and scoop his wrist into your armpit to break his grip and prepare for the Nearside Armbar. While drilling, be careful of placing your leg over your partner's face too fast.
