2 Part Lesson — Marcelo demos how to collect a Double Leg from Butterfly: [I] If you can't break your opponent's grips on your pants with a double chop, allocate both of your hands onto one of his sleeves and strip it off into the 2on1. You may need to recover back your guard immediately after breaking his grip if he tries to move around while you work. If he pulls away to break your 2on1, scoot forward and scoop up both of his knees with your arms to collapse his legs in a Double. [II] The success of the previous Double Leg attack is dependent upon the opponent's leg being straight and close, not bent and far. Let the opponent carry you forward as he tries to yank free to sit up onto his legs for the takedown.
