3 Part Lesson — Marcelo teaches the "Push-Kick" Sweep: [I] Also known as "Pega-Paulista", you can catch your opponent off-balance in a quick, low-risk, and often embarassing sweep for your opponent by thrusting your Butterfly Hooks in between his squared stance as he approaches your Seated Guard. Make sure to claim dominion over his pants on your way up to establish the top, preventing him from rising back up to his feet. [II] Incorporate your hands into the trip by pushing the opponent's thighs the moment you strike his ankles. [III] If your opponent circles out of your sweep, quickly hug his lead leg that's inside and scoot your hips away to pummel back your foot inside for 1LX. Rock his hips in one motion to knock him back, and once again, capture the legs to establish the top position.
