1on1 Wrist Control from Rear-Side-Ride → One-Handed Straight Choke vs Turtle → Straight Choke from Back Control
2 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows the One-Handed "Straight" Rear Naked Choke: [I] If your opponent stays Turtled, ride his Back with 1on1 Wrist Control and fish for an opening to attack his neck with the One-Handed Straight Choke; dig your fingertips into his shoulder and drag your elbow back, cutting your forearm straight across his throat for the finish. If he releases your arm or you can slip free from the 1on1, clasp both hands togther in a Gable-Grip (thumbless, palm-to-palm) to further secure the hold and get the choke. [II] If your opponent rolls over while you attack his neck, continue squeezing straight across and once again, look to free your arm or release the 1on1 to apply both hands in the finish. Pull your opponent up off the mat momentarily to alleviate the weight on your arm when you try to slip your arm free for the Straight Choke.
