3 Part Lesson — Marcelo breaks the defenses against his Bow-N-Arrow Choke: [I] Pro-Tip: use the edge and not the fold of the jacket's collar to cut into your opponent's neck, despite often finding the folded grip more comfortable to hold. Once you have the grip made, transition your hooks across his body and cradle his leg for the Bow-N-Arrow Choke. If he is surviving with his counter-grip strength, use your leg and heel to scrape away his elbows and hands from interfering with the finish. [II] If you can't fit your heel against his elbow to strip off his defense, lay your leg over and prevent him from removing your choke. [III] As a last resort, you can let go of the opponent's leg and use your hand to dismantle his defense; you can find his leg after or switch to the Katahajime.
