3 Part Lesson — Marcelo demonstrates how to retain Back Control: [I] If your opponent passes your Choking Hand around his head, falling to his Escape-Side, grab a hold of his wrist and yank your arm free, back to the Seatbelt. [II] If your opponent places his back flat on the mat after passing your arm around his neck, switch from the 1on1 Wrist Control to his Lapel and reach behind his head to make a Horse-Collar Grip; if his hips are still inside your Back Mount, cut underneath, dragging him to the other side. If he escapes your Back Hooks, belly-down and use the Horse-Collar Grip to yank his back up off the mat where you can reattach the Seatbelt.
