2 Part Technique - The best counter would be to sprawl with Head Control to prevent the opponent's Deep Half Guard. Since the opponent is blocking your leg from moving backwards, you must move forwards instead. Press down on the opponent's shoulder and head for clearance to pass your Leg Over. If the opponent counters by continuing to follow and look for your back, use the Leg Over to Back Step Half Guard transition.
