Jon asks Marcelo how to accurately defend against counter-pressure from Half Guard during the Turning Pass. The key to maintaining the top control lies in making your opponent carry your weight through the side of your torso. If the opponent tries to bump into you to free his elbow, shift your weight over his head and use your Reverse Underhook to base. If he tries to pull back, make a grip on the back of his collar to help hang back and keep close. If the opportunity arises, free your leg and jump over to take the Back with the Seatbelt.
