2 Part Lesson — Marcelo defeats two guard recoveries from Turtle: If your opponent falls to his or her hip to bring their legs back around or in between, execute a hip switch and slide your knee away from the guard recovery. Circle around the opponent's bottom leg and immediately look to spread out their upper body to attack a submission. [06:29] If your opponent rotates the opposite way and tries to Granby Roll, run your feet around their hips and pin the shoulder to the mat to avoid the possibility of a Single Leg.
