2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo handles a sprawling counter to his Hook Sweep: If your opponent avoids your Hook Sweep from Butterfly Guard with a Collar-Tie by posting his or her hands on the mat and dropping his/her chest low, sit up to reset your momentum and fall back again as you lift your hook. [05:34] If your opponent counters and then drives forward to close the distance, use your hooks to push him/her back while you collect double Overhooks. Sweep to whichever side you feel your opponent's weight more readily mobile. Prepare to stabilize the top position with an Underhook on either side.
