2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo hits a Folding Pass: Smack the side of the opponent's knee and land across the thighs folded together with a Sprawl. Hold the opponent tightly around the waist as you clear the hooks with your foot before running around to Side Control. [05:11] While atop holding the Headquarters Position (versus Broken De-la-Riva, DMX, Fireman's Guard, Bora-Bora Guard, Krab Guard, et al.) cram your opponent's Butterfly Hook to prevent him or her from pushing you away to make space for a transition. Avoid the De-la-Riva Hook by pointing your lead toes outward and use two hands to break off any Collar-Grips. If your opponent tries to offset your base by kicking your far hip, stuff the leg underneath a low squat and keep yourself stable with a grip on the opponent's torso.
