2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo incorporates Knee-on-Belly to advance his game: If your opponent insists on staying underneath your Side-Mount while protecting his or her limbs from submission, improving to the Knee-Mount (Knee-on-Belly, -Stomach, -Chest, Ukigatame, Knee-Ride, et al.) is an excellent option that can score yourself points as well as open up opportunities for attack. Make a grip on the far hip grabbing the belt/pants/jacket and also a Collar-Grip behind the neck. Pop up sliding your shin across your opponent's torso and form a barrier with your elbow and shoulder to prevent recovery. Avoid letting the opponent pull you over top to the opposite/far-side and don't let either leg return to entangle or push you away. [02:59] If your opponent bumps and turns over to catch your knee in a Single Leg Attack, sprawl your leg back and quickly spin behind to take the back, setting your hooks.

This is why I like mginaction so much. This is not an isolate position, but the complete move from knee on belly to taking the back.
