2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo makes his opponent pay for a failed shot: Sprawling back into the Front Headlock Position, use whatever grip feels comfortable (Marcelo prefers the Seatbelt/Ball-n-Socket-Grip for simplicity's sake; however, he acknowledges that the Gable-Grip at times feels stronger) to bring your opponent's arm close to his or her head. When you feel the opponent resist back against this squeeze, release your grip and immediately lock on a Guillotine Choke. Pull guard (¾, Shin-on-Belly, L-Guard, et al.) and finalize the submission with the High-Elbow finish. [03:12] If your opponent doesn't try to pull his or her arm back after you squeeze the Front Headlock, yank them forward and spin around, inserting your knee behind the triceps to fasten the Seatbelt. Maintain the Seatbelt Control to set your hooks to finish taking the back.
