Technical Conditioning
Marcelo reminds his advanced class the importance behind practicing and experiencing as many aspects of jiu-jitsu as possible. You must condition yourself to respond to any situation your opponent brings you to; conversely, you should prepare as many lines of attack as you can against your opponent to funnel them into a finish. Every particular scenario has an answer in the moment in response to your opponent's feedback, e.g. a grip break against a de la Riva entry, or a slight angle change in your foot position when standing in base.
