Marcelo talks about the precise movements necessary for successfully latching onto and finishing a Guillotine-Choke from Butterfly-Guard: When you are underneath your opponent's chin and across their neck with your wrist, however, you haven't yet connected your hands together with their arm outside of the hold, you must act quickly before the opportunity to capture the submission dwindles. Use your legs to help frame your opponent away from closing off space and bump them back just enough to create a gap in front of their shoulder to pass your outside hand in front and make a grip for an armless connection. Throw your elbow over top of their shoulder to continue framing and counteracting against their expected defenses.
