Advanced Lesson Part 2 of 2 -- Marcelo gets to the Bow-&-Arrow Choke after his opponent tries to escape by turning out: If your opponent gets above you while you have the Back-Mount with Seat-Belt Control, make a grip on their collar while they are busy clearing out your hooks; if they turn onto your Strong-Side, i.e. the side of your Over-Hook, prepare to follow them the long way around in terms of recovering their back. Turn over onto your knees and maintain a close distance with your shoulder behind their head; don't allow your opponent to get their head to the floor if they keep on turning. Jump over to weak-side if necessary but remember to place your head under theirs to avoid them escaping. Continue rolling until you can bring your opponent upright enough to resecure your grip and then drop them down onto their side for the Bow-&-Arrow. Step across or kick your foot through to the opposite side as you look to grab onto their leg (not just their pants) and sit back for the strangle. Resist the tendency to yank backward so much so that you grant your opponent a momentary window to slip their head out of the choke.
