Advanced Lesson Part 1 of 3 -- Marcelo is reminded of the effectiveness of his tried-and-true, Standing Arm-Drag to the Back: Starting from a neutral position on the feet, hand-fight for same-side control over your opponent's wrist; use this grip to keep your opponent's arm in place as you look to step around towards the outside as you cross your opposite hand and look to latch onto their triceps for the drag. Adhere yourself to your opponent's arm by hanging all of your bodyweight off of your grips, forcing them to base out on all-fours to keep their balance. When they look to spring back upright, use their momentum to help launch yourself on top of their exposed backside. Capture your opponent's torso by fastening Seat-Belt Control around their upper-body, remembering to keep in line with their shoulders so as to not slide off over the top and fall into bottom position without their back in hand. If you need extra help getting above your opponent after hanging onto their arm, don't use your hands to post off of the ground to help get yourself up; rather, pendulate your outside leg downward to help rock yourself up to get ahold of their back. The key for success with this particular technique is to force your opponent to base out heavily with their hands on the mat to increase the amount of time their back can be exposed for the taking.
