2 Part Technique - Shooting for the single leg takedown may leave the opponent vulnerable for a guillotine choke, especially if his head can be forced to the outside. Remove your foot from between his legs and use it to initiate a trip when you tug his upper body to the outside. If he opts to do nothing, he gives up the takedown, but if he reacts by posting against his fall, he opens himself up for the guillotine choke around his exposed neck. Raise your leg on top of his shoulder as you fall back to pull guard and squeeze up into his throat for the finish. This same set-up can be utilized while you're caught in the single leg from standing; use the same leg trip again and throw his head to the outside with your arm waiting to catch around his neck. Immediately sit to the mat so you can throw your leg over his shoulder and finish with the guillotine choke.
