1Leg X Guard Entry from Single Leg Control, 1Leg X Guard Entry vs Knee Slide Pass, 1Leg X Guard Sweep from 1Leg X Guard
2 Part Technique - Against an aggressive opponent who is trying to advance into your butterfly guard and force you flat onto your back to pass, it is important to crunch into his pressure and hide your shoulders while you insert your hook for Single Leg Control. Use this position to launch into your 1Leg X Guard Entry by posting your free hand to the mat, releasing the shin-to-shin pressure, and sliding your leg between his legs so you can entangle him in the 1Leg X. Flex your outside foot to prevent IBJJF disqualification, and keep your knees aligned with his as you sandwich your hooks on his leg. Rock your hips back, forth, and back to hit the sweep and come up on top with both of his legs in hand. If your opponent tries cross his knee over your hip from your Single Leg Control, shove it back upright and immediately slider under again for the 1Leg X Guard and sweep.
