3 Part Technique - Thrust your hips forward while popping the opponent's knee back to force the mount. Commonly the opponent will desperately close a weak half guard to prevent points. Control the opponents head into alignment to escape your foot, or Leg Over if needed. As the opponent resists your initial downwards press to mount, he might expose an easier route to passing by folding his knees together.
