Double Elbow Control from Standing, Hand Fighting from Standing, Single Leg Takedown
2 Part Technique - While your opponent fights for inside control of your arms in the stand-up, look to cup your hands underneath both of his elbows -leaving you direct access to his legs for a shot. Use this Double Elbow Control to raise his arms away from defending his legs as you shoot for the Single Leg Takedown -targeting his lead leg. Use the seatbelt grip to elevate his knee, all the while remembering to shrug your shoulders to ward off guillotine attacks. Drop shoulder weight onto the top of his thigh by stepping out and then back, hiking his leg between yours to the mat. If you're having trouble controlling him with Double Elbow Control, remove his collar tie with a strong upward roof block -leaving you with another opening for the single.
