2 Part Technique - Place your feet on your opponent's hips to help remove his collar grip before he can close the distance and begin passing. Form a pistol grip on his sleeve, tucking his hand under your wrist and close the distance with Cross Arm and Belt Control for the sweep. If he insists on reaching for the collar grip again, redirect his outstretched arm under your armpit, trapping his hand at the apex. Without removing your feet from his hips, scoot your hips underneath his arm and grab onto his elbow joint, turning it as if turning a door knob. Use your knees and free hand to keep him upright and away as you apply the finishing pressure for the Elbow Control Armbar.
