1Leg X Guard Entry from Single Leg Control, 1Leg X Guard Entry vs Knee Slide Pass, 1Leg X Guard Sweep from 1Leg X Guard
2 Part Technique - How you enter into the 1Leg X-Guard is dependent upon two different scenarios when your opponent is standing and has stepped inside your Butterfly Guard. Begin by assuming Single Leg Control by circling your hook across his shin, and hugging his knee while your other hand posts on the mat. If he continues to stand, remove your hook and use your post to scoot your hips underneath his hips for the 1Leg X. If he begins to attempt the Knee Slide Pass by crossing his shin across your thigh, take advantage of his lightened foot and lift it to your armpit as you spin to the side into the 1Leg X. Elevate your hips off the mat, and keep your opponent guessing when it comes to the direction of the sweep by rocking your him off his base from side to side. After he falls, secure both of his legs to help you rise on top and also prevent him from sitting up or escaping the sweep.
