2 Part Technique - As soon as you realize you've been mounted, immediately react with your escape before your opponent has a chance to establish his weight. If he vaults over your butterfly guard and drops into the mount, pop your hips up off of the mat with a bridge and prop his stomach up on your hands. Use the space you've isolated to slip your knees between his legs for any one of a number of different guard options. If he locks around your hips as you bridge up, preventing you from creating any space between, quickly switch your arms to push at his thigh for the Turning Escape. Make sure to keep your shoulder aligned perpendicularly with his chest so as to not be flattened or give up your back while you escape your hips.
