2 Part Technique - The opponent will commonly lock Half Guard to prevent your initial Guard Pass. As he reaches under for a Deep Half Guard or X Guard, immediately pull your leg straight up to reset the position. If the opponent was faster than your initial counter, pressure over using the Leg Over. Always search for the Under Hook to control the position. If you lose that battle, transition to Back Step Half Guard and continue to fight for the Under Hook.
