Turning Escape vs Mount, Half Guard to Guard

1 Part Technique - If you wind up mounted and your opponent isn't susceptible to the Arm Control Bridge Escape, switch gears and try the Turning Mount Escape instead. Make sure to keep your elbows inside and bridge before trying to hip escape, otherwise you will not have enough space for your hips to move. Press both hands against the top of his leg down into your half guard. Apply the same press to his other leg on the other side, but this time only free your knee. Free your ankle by escaping your hips one more time to the outside while you control his arm and find the Closed Guard.
