2 Part Technique - Before your opponent has a chance to slip his leg through your half guard any farther, knock away or rip of his grip on your collar. If you sense his weight bearing down on top of your shin, kick him overhead and pick his ankle into the 1Leg X-Guard. If he manages to sprawl on top of your legs, rather than falling forward, achieve the 1Leg X by lifting with your bent, reverse butterfly hook until you can catch his ankle again. In either scenario, finish with the standard 1Leg X-Guard sweep; twisting your hips back and forth to the mat.
