Taking the Back from Front Headlock, Crucifix vs Takedown from Front Headlock, Rear Naked Choke from Crucifix
2 Part Technique - The Front Headlock, though it may be a common place to hunt for the Guillotine Choke, is oftentimes best played by taking the back with the Seatbelt. The major defense to this transition is the arm with which your opponent can potentially capture a Single. Use the squeeze of the headlock to dislodge his arm out of the path of your knee to slide behind his elbow. If he does happen to take you down, continue holding onto the front headlock, belly back down after freeing your leg from underneath with a kick or hook lift, and recapture the back. If you have trouble turning back over because he's hugging your leg, lock a figure-four high above his elbow and pull yourself back on top with a Crucifix. Once on top, fasten the seatbelt, and immediately begin looking to finish the fight with either a Rear Naked Choke, or the Crucifix Armbar.
