Double Leg Takedown, Guillotine Escape vs Closed Guard, Guillotine Escape from Side Control, Side Control to North South
3 Part Technique - Paul goes over three very common scenarios after taking your opponent down with a Double Leg Takedown. If he threatens to submit you with a Guillotine Choke, trap his elbow from shelving onto your shoulder and drive weight into his arm and chest to alleviate the pressure on your neck. Analytically, attack his grip based upon pushing, or pulling the hand that is held by the other hand. If he attempts the Arm-In Guillotine, tripod yourself onto your toes to relieve the squeeze and attack his grip with both of your hands. If you turn the corner on your Double Leg, avoiding his guard altogether, drive weight into his stomach and invert the position of your arms on his sides to be able to run to the North South.
