3 Part Technique - Sometimes our momentum can take us too far, and we end up in dangerous places, such as the Guillotine Choke from Closed Guard after a takedown. Everytime you are stuck here, drive your weight forward, but not so much weight that you flip over. Next, use your hands to alleviate the pressure and break apart his grip. Once safe, don't wait; pop up and break out of his Closed Guard. If your arm isn't inside his Guillotine, you have to respect the choke even more because your opponent could know how to finish with his elbow on top of the shoulder. Immediately look to overhook his arm before his elbow raises above your shoulder, and then continue with your normal Guillotine escape. If you can't take your time breaking his grip, you can push on his elbow to help expose his hands, but make sure you keep your elbow flared out to prevent getting Triangle'd.
