Rear Cross Lapel & Cross Collar Control → Spiral Armbar → Side Control to Back
3 Part Lesson — Marcelo utilizes the jacket to bind his opponent: [I] If flattened with Double Underhooks from Butterfly, pull out the opponent's lapel bottom and pass it to your other hand as you extend your hooks to sit up for Rear Cross Lapel Control. Insert your free hand inside and combine the lower lapel grip with Cross Collar Control. Kick out the opponent's base while holding the controls for a Short Hook Sweep up into Side Control. Slap your leg across his chest and sit out for the Spiral Armbar. [II] If you lose his arm, take the back. You may need to jump to the opposite side if it's your better side for attacking the back. You may also rock the person upright to expose his back if he turns into your control. [III] Catch the opponent's arm as it slides off to keep better control over the opponent's movements as he tries to escape.
