2on1 from Standing, Pull Guard, Tripod Sweep from Open Guard, Cross Arm and Belt Control from Butterfly, Cross Arm and Belt Sweep from Butterfly
2 Part Technique - The 2on1 from Standing is a versatile control that can set-up takedowns or sweeps, particularly the Tripod Sweep after pulling Open Guard. Seize hold of your opponent's wrist and use a 'monkey' grip on his sleeve to collect enough material to form a 'pistol' grip for your 2on1. This control makes room to pull guard by placing your foot on his hip, and capturing his near heel with your hand. Off-balance him by extending your leg and use your free foot to kick out his base, coming up on top. If the opponent begins circling away from your control, switch your foot from on the hip to a butterfly hook and reach from his elbow for his belt. Tuck your head underneath his hip as you kick your leg for a reverse hook sweep with Cross Arm and Belt Control. Finish on top by landing your weight onto his arm as you assume Side Control.
