Ankle Trap Sweep from X Guard, Guillotine from Butterfly, Jumping on the Back :
4 Part Technique - Know the consequences of your attack. Sweeping isn't solely about undermining your opponent's base with a deep guard; it's also about how you well you finish once you get on top. For example, if you gain double ankle grips in X and sweep your opponent, what good was the effort if you can't stay on top of him long enough to score, or connect with a finish? Try as best as you can to stand up without letting go of his ankles after the sweep; this will ensure that he won't readily stand up to his feet too. (A) If he posts up with his arms to come back into you, take his exposed neck with a Guillotine Choke. (B) If he backpedals instead, dive in for Double Under Control before he frees his ankles and continue driving with the tackle until he remains flat. (C) If he turns away and exposes his back, dive for hip control and jump onto the Seatbelt with hooks. You have to prepare for all 3 reactions after you sweep and control both of your opponent's ankles.
