Arm Pull vs Over Hook from Closed Guard, Breaking the Closed Guard
2 Part Technique - Staying inside your opponent's Closed Guard is almost never a good idea, especially when he has control over your arms or neck. If your opponent has Double Overhook Control while you are kneeling inside his Closed Guard, choose the side of your dominant hand to lean your shoulder weight onto his chest and stack him. While posted up on your toes, you will have the space to slip your hand past his hip and un-pummel his overhook. After your strong hand is free, use it to frame enough space to free your other arm from his control, or break off his collar tie. Rather than wait for him to attack again, stay on your feet and reach back to break open his Closed Guard.
