Kimura trap? lol He was working to finish the staight armbar after his partner rolled, and made a kimura grip for maybe 2 seconds, otherwise he was just controling the elbow. Speaking of the "kimura trap", I used to be really big on that "system" as it was taught to me by Andrew Smith. Last fall when I was in NYC Marcelo was watching me and another student roll. During that roll I used the kimura grip several times to take the back. Afterwards Marcelo pulled us aside and showed my partner how to shut it down pretty easily. I use the counter he showed all the time now (the guys at my school play the kimura game a lot) - it basically involves posting on the elbow that is in the kimura and getting your but as high as possible with your knees off the ground.
