Breaking the Closed Guard, Knee Inside Pass vs Closed Guard, Arm Pull vs Over Hook from Closed Guard
2 Part Technique - While inside the Closed Guard of an aggressive opponent, stay safe by keeping your hands either on top of your head or clasped together; avoid letting your hands touch the mat or draping your arms over his shoulders. The moment he opens his guard to attack, block the inside of his leg enough to either step up and out, or step over into a pass. If he tries to make your hand touch the mat, as with a "zombie" technique, simply swim your arm back up; but if he attempts this again, you cannot repeat this escape because he may time his trap more efficiently. The solution then, is to pick him up off the mat by his neck and hold him close as you push down on his knee to break his guard. Don't stay inside the Closed Guard, especially if your opponent is well versed from there.
