Ankle Pick Sweep from 1Leg X Guard, 1Leg X Guard to X Guard, Ankle Trap Sweep from X Guard, Breaking Gi Grips from 1Leg X Guard
3 Part Technique - The main point of this lesson is to properly establish after rising to the top position from a 1Leg X-Guard Sweep. While your legs extend, pushing the opponent back onto the mat, your arms hold his legs down tightly, ensuring that we cannot make base. If he drives forward against your initial sweep, grab onto his far ankle for the Ankle Trap Sweep. If you still need more oomph, switch for full X-Guard as you trap the ankle and sweep for the top position. Lastly, if your opponent is strong enough to drive forward and hold your sleeve from the Ankle Pick, use your knee to break his grip.
