Marcelo's signature Guillotine can prove troublesome for those who happen to neglect a few simple details in the technique. Marcelo explains to Jasmine that improvement can be made by correcting two common mistakes: 1) bend your high-elbow arm at the wrist, and 2) shift your hips out to the side of the high-elbow to help place it on top of the opponent's shoulder. Also, if the choke doesn't seem to be working, there is always the Hook Sweep while holding onto the Guillotine.
